DukesHill was founded in 1985 with a vision of producing the finest hams, traditionally cured the “old-fashioned” way and with the highest regard for animal welfare. Our product range has grown over the years, but our guiding principle of putting flavour and quality before speed or yield remains as strong as ever. Our beginnings From our humble beginnings in a converted cow shed in Shropshire in 1985, producing our popular Wiltshire hams started as a labour of love. Word spread and after becoming famous locally, by 1998 we were supplying non-other than the late Queen Elizabeth II. This was a proud moment for everyone and one that solidified faith in the importance of championing an artisan status. Our commitment to quality led to us being selected by some of the top London Food Halls to produce their hams, and in 2003 we were awarded the ultimate accolade – a Royal Warrant to supply hams to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. DukesHill Today Soon after this momentous occasion, we moved to larger pastures and expanded our artisan range over the intervening years. From top-quality cured and fresh meats, traditionally smoked fish, artisan cheeses, handmade puddings, and pies to luxury hampers and much more. What’s kept the quality just as it was all those years ago is our admiration for, and loyalty to, maintaining a traditional approach to crafting fine foods and nurturing relationships with British farmers and small artisan producers. We believe it's this commitment that will keep our heritage rich and our food truly something to celebrate.
